Creamy Matcha Elixir
Why I love this Elixir!
1. L-Theanine!
Matcha contains an amino acid called L-theanine. This amino acid helps keep you calm while the caffeine (much less then coffee) gives you a little boost. This combination provides you with sustained energy and doesn’t give you a caffeine crash!
2. Spirulina!
Spirulina is an incredible source of antioxidants, protein and soooo many nutrients. It is extremely nutrient dense and gives this elixir a much needed nutrient boost. It is also has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties to help us feel our best!
3. Naturally Sweetened!
Dates are such a beautiful option for a sweetener. They contain lots of minerals to help keep your blood sugar balanced. Because of this you don’t have an energy crash a few hours later. They are also a great source of fiber, helping to keep you regular and moving those toxins out of your body!
Matcha Elixir
Ingredients
- 1 mug Dairy Free Milk
- 1 tsp Organic, Ceremonial Grade Matcha
- 1/2 tsp Organic Spirulina Powder
- 2 tsp Ground Ceylon Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Organic Coconut Oil
- 1 scoop Collagen Peptides
- 2 Medjool Dates, pitted
- 1 tsp Organic Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Warm your dairy free milk on the stove in a small pot over low heat and add your pitted dates. Stir occasionally.
- Add all other ingredients to your heat safe blender.
- Once dairy free milk and dates are warmed to your liking (warm the dairy free milk to be hotter then you would want to drink it), pour into your blender and blend for 30 seconds
- Pour into your mug, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
